The state-of-the-art Globe Pharmaceuticals Ltd. plant is located at BSCIC industrial estate under Begumgonj Upazilla of Noakhali Districts, South east part of Bangladesh, about 250 kilometres far from the Capital city, Dhaka & about 200 kilometres far from port city, Chittagong. Globe is well equipped with highly sophisticated and advanced facilities. It manufactures medicines of wide range of therapeutic classes like antiulcerants, antibiotics, NSAIDs, antipyretics, vitamins & minerals, laxatives, cardiovasculars, antidiabetics, steroids, antispasmodics, antihistamines, antipsychotics, antiemetics, antiseptics etc. in this plant. Each & every person of the plant is working relentlessly to uphold its world-class quality. The WHO approved cGMP guidelines are strictly followed in every single operation of plant. Globe Pharmaceuticals ltd has opened cephalosporin plant with dedicated facility for cephalosporin products. The site also houses a warehouse for raw, packaging and finished goods.

All manufacturing devices are digitally programmed for highest precision.Its sterile unit is set with the complete line-up including Ampoule Washing, Sterilization, Ampoule Filling and Sealing machines from world’s premium pharmaceutical equipment manufacturers.
We have three fluid bed processing technology from Solace, India, integrates all the jobs of mixing, granulation, drying in a single Programmable Logic Control Machine. After granulation, tablets go for compression & then coating.
Manufacturing and packaging operations are carried out according to the validated methods through systematically qualified machines with full documentation at all stages of operations.

The water system at Globe pharma plant is of world-class by any regulatory parameters. Purified water and water for injection plant and distribution systems are designed to maintain the water quality according to the relevant requirements and state-of-the-art engineering.
Globepharma’s Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) ensures environment-friendly pharmaceutical waste management practices.
HVAC stands for closely interrelated heat, ventilation and air-conditioning system. HVAC system performs four basic functions:
- Maintains space temperature- Temperature can affect product quality directly as many products are heat sensitive. It can also affect product indirectly by fostering the growth of microbial contaminants on workers.
- Controls airborne particles, dust and microorganism through air filtration using high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters.
- Maintains room pressure- Rooms must be kept under a “Positive or Negative” pressure, meaning that air flow between processing room & adjacent area through doors or other openings to reduce airborne contamination. This is achieved by balancing pressure-differential between rooms & adjacent spaces.
- Maintains space moisture (Relative Humidity) – Humidity is controlled by cooling air to dew point temperatures or by using desiccant dehumidifiers. Humidity can affect the efficacy and stability of drugs and is sometimes important to effectively mould the tablets.
Each of the above parameters is controlled and evaluated in light of its potential to impact product quality.
Sterile Production Facilities-
Class 100 clean room
The specification of class 100 clean room is that airborne particle ≥0.5 µm in size do not exceed 100 in number per cubic feet area. This is essential for sterile production. The clean room is maintained by HEPA filter & laminar air flow.
HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters
HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filter is installed at terminal points so that only HEPA filtered air can enter the clean area. HEPA filters can remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles of 0.3 µm in diameter.
Laminar air flow
It is generally defined as airflow in which the entire body of air within a confined area moves in essentially unidirectional velocity along parallel flow lines. The filtered air may be directed vertically or horizontally across the work area. This laminar flow of clean air protects materials in the work area from particulate and cross contamination.
All walls & ceiling of the plant are made of Sandwich panels giving a smooth & easily cleanable surface free of cracks or crevices. The floors are coated with Self-leveling Epoxy (SLE) to provide a hard impact & chemical resistant surface. All corners between the floor, walls & ceiling are finished with PVC coving to prevent the accumulation of debris & moistures.
Uninterrupted power supply
An automatic gas generator is installed in this plant, which provides uninterrupted power supply to maintain smooth operations of HVAC and machineries of this ultramodern plant.
