Presentation:
Asmafen Tablet: Each film-coated tablet contains Ketotifen Fumarate USP equivalent to Ketotifen 1 mg.
Asmafen Syrup: Each 5 ml syrup contains Ketotifen Fumarate USP equivalent to Ketotifen 1 mg.
Description:
Ketotifen is a non-broncho-dilator anti-asthmatic drug which inhibits the effects of certain endogenous substances known to be inflammatory mediators. In addition, Ketotifen is a potent anti-allergic substance possessing a powerful and sustained non-competitive histamine (H1) receptor blocking property.
Indication:
- For the prophylactic treatment of bronchial asthma.
- Symptomatic treatment of allergic conditions including rhinitis and conjunctivitis.
- Symptomatic treatment of allergy such as hay fever, urticaria.
Therapeutic Class: Antihistamine.
